Using headers

The pre-built headers on the Experios platform are a nifty way to perform functions like breaking up text-heavy sections or signposting a change of topic.

Headers can help you to build your publication quickly. Using pre-built layouts can reduce design complexity: no need to worry about padding and margins, for example. Just choose “Add Content”, “Layouts” and “Headers” and decide whether to add the header at the start of your publication or at the end.

If there are other pages in your publication already, you might consider using the “Spacer” option to make your header stand out.

It’s easy to enhance pre-built headers, too, by including “Features” from the “Add Content” section: think text boxes, quotes and images.

Double-clicking the default image in your header, for example, allows you to choose a replacement image from your library on Experios, from a selection of stock images or – via upload – from the images on your PC.

And the example below shows how you can quickly add a link to your header. This can be done by typing into the default text box, selecting the text to access the toolbar and then clicking the link option. The link can be to a website, an email address or to another page within the publication.
