Adding text to images using rows

Working with the Experios platform, it can be helpful to think of rows as your page’s building blocks.

The simplest way to add a layer of text over an image, for example, is by using the “Row” function.

If you have an image on your canvas and try to use “Add Content”, “Features” and “Text” to do this, the text area will be added as a separate row – above or below the image – not as a layer over the image.

To layer an image with text, you need to choose “Add Content”, “Advanced”, and “Row”.

Then, with the row in place on your canvas, choose “Background” and “Background Image” from the “Properties” panel to add an image from your “Content Library”.

Then choose “Add Content”, “Features”, and “Text” to add your wording.

The text can then be formatted – size, font, colour, margins and so on – using its own toolbar.
